Fischer Sbound 98 Crown / Dual Skin Xtralite Ski 2023 The Fischer S-Bound 98 has a "Nordic Rocker Camber" flex that combines a traditional medium stiff nordic camber underfoot with a longer more progressive cambered tip. This flex profile makes turn initiation easier and less energy demanding, so that downhill skiing is less tiring and more fun. The S-Bound 98 is the narrowest member of the S-Bound family, but still packs a generous 98-69-88 mm sidecut. The 98 is a good choice for skiers wanting to cover some distance but also enjoy steeper terrain and deeper snow, which can be tricky using the narrower more traditional models. On the flat and moderate climbs the waxless Crown base works well. For steeper icy slopes we do recommend full length skins and for 2023 Fischer have added a notch in the tip of the Sbound 98s so that they can be used with Fischer's new full length Super Skins. The S-Bound 98 works equally well with NNN-BC nordic touring or 75 mm lightweight telemark bindings and is a good choice for skiers wanting a versatile ski for undulating terrain, for covering both distance and vertical metres.
